Everyone is familiar with the saying that "a first impression is a lasting impression." That statement can be true if a second impression never occurs. For example, you are irritated and frustrated with the service or the preparation of the food at a restaurant, but then the manager arrives at your table and addresses your concern and offers to put your meal on the house or give you a discount. You anger is now replaced with gratitude and a feeling of loyalty towards the establishment. The same principle can relate to anything from fashion to architecture to food. You may see someone walking down the street and say "that outfit is terrible." However, if you look closer, you may say, "those colors work great together. " Had you failed to create that second impression, you would have been left with nothing. Because you chose to look again, you created a second impression that left you with an idea. My goal with this blog is to inspire you to look at different parts of the whole. You may be surprised at what you discover.
